Restore Help
- If you haven't done a full backup yet, you'll see that some or all of the boxes on this page are grayed out. You can't Restore whatcha ain't Saved! If there is a full BackUp Set, then TuBu can selectively restore from parts of it.
- Immediately after a hard reset, you definitely want to have all the boxes checked, so that TuBu will restore all the information to your PPC. For other situations, there are options.
- In particular, the separate databases can be restored. Appointments, Contacts, Messages (email), and Tasks should be self-explanatory. The Rest stands for all the other databases that WinCE maintains for its own internal functioning. These must be restored after a hard reset, but needn't be otherwise. With TuBu's selective Restore capability, you can actually "clone" your databases to another machine. Just copy the TuBuDB.zip file to the other machine, along with the TuBu.exe file, and then Restore the databases you're after.
- Note that this will erase the current contents of that database on that new machine! TuBu does not combine the information, it simply restores the database to the image that's stored in the backup.
